Oil Syndicate Update!!!

 

Established in the Summer of 2011, the syndicate has gone from strength to strength and the more we grow, the more money we keep in the village. We have invited residents from Perry, Great Staughton and Ellington to join which help with our goal to control the carbon footprint and keep a bulk order attractive enough to attract a discount. Remember, it's FREE to join.

 

How it works:

• More and more communities are joining forces to get a lower oil price though bulk buying and help control the carbon footprint made by delivery trucks
• There are 9 regional suppliers who I call for quotes to our syndicate
• I email syndicate members to establish orders – usually on a monthly basis, then negotiate with suppliers
• I email syndicate members with the negotiation outcome, detailing the successful supplier and price together with details of the range of prices offered by the other suppliers approached.
• Minimum delivery is 500 litres, maximum, fill up
• Each household pays the same rate regardless of order size
• The successful company will contact each household to arrange delivery and payment (TIP – If you pay by debit card you avoid credit card charge most companies will make)
